Our company is looking for a bookkeeper Job Statement (Purpose of the job) 1.Maintain and update accounting records by performing duties such as recording and posting transactions in journals and general ledger for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and maintenance of management accounts. 2. Ensure the filing of all accounting documentation created timeously. 3. Print and submit key monthly reconciliations for the payroll and submit it to the C.E.O. 4. Guide the budgeting process of the organization in liaison with departmental heads. 5. Prepare budgets and calculate variances from the budget and report significant variances to the management. 10. Code source documents such as invoices and receipts to the appropriate accounts, maintain bank account records; reconcile bank accounts and balances cheque books. 14. Maintain the chart of accounts from Quick-books. Personnel Specification 1. At least a Diploma in Accountancy 2. Ability to work under pressure 3. Accuracy and attention to detail 4. Computer and Microsoft office literacy 5. Honest, reliable, hard-working and innovative 6. Communication skills, written and verbal 7. Reconciliation of accounts 8.
