Senior Buyer

South Coast based construction company needs experienced, cost-conscious Procurement Manager to take over purchasing operations. Looking for product-savvy professional who has experience in the construction industry who can institute innovative policies to save money and improve procurement strategies. Looking for someone who can focus on local spend and improve relations with existing suppliers while finding new suppliers who can meet our needs more efficiently. We’re a forward-thinking operation with expansion on the horizon, someone who is willing to grow with our company will be a perfect fit. Responsibilities and duties 1. Develop, hone and execute new improved procurement strategies 2. Evaluate & enhance operations in local spend while researching new supply sources. 3. Delegate tasks & supervise work of purchasing & procurement team 4. Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency. 5. Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing site efficiency 6.
