• GRADE 12
• DEGREE / DIPLOMA IN PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
• 5 YEARS EXP IN PRODUCTION WITHIN MANUFACTURING/ FACTORY/ PLANT CONCERN
• ABILITY TO LEAD A TEAM OF PEOPLE
• ABILITY TO ORGANIZE, PLAN AND COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY
• EXP IN HEAVY INDUSTRY
• STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• ABLE TO WORK SHIFTS
• To manage all aspects of production, Quality and safety on shift basis
• To measure and report on production activities in board forming section by:
o monitoring and controlling flake quality / properties
o monitoring and controlling timber and chemical usage against standards
o monitoring and controlling board properties against standards
o ensuring that production schedules are adhered to
o analysing deviations, taking corrective action follow up and report all serious problems
o monitoring and analysing production reports on a shift basis
• In order to:
o ensure required quality and output standards are met
o ensure standards are met and revised if required

• To ensure the operation of machines within operational specifications by:
o physically checking optimal operating speeds, thickness and size tolerances, machine feed speeds
o communicating machine specifications to teams
o initiating corrective action where necessary
• To promote a team-based organization environment by:
• Organizing shift meetings on daily task, tool box talks and monthly shift safety meetings
• identifying and providing all training requirements of team members
• coaching and counselling team members and providing training as required
• To promote industrial relations in the workplace by:
o ensuring good human relations between all team members
o exercising disciplinary action where appropriate
• Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and promote all safety standards,
• By Logging all incidents on DMS and investigate them
• Check outstanding training for the team and action them
• Check outstanding works orders for the team and action them
• Comply to all statutory requirements during maintenance days on matters such as permit to work and lockout procedures
