Main purpose:
To define and maintain security policies and processes and to ensure alignment thereof for the company to its clients through its toolsets, operational monitoring, preventative actions and crisis management

Description of responsibilities:
• Defines and maintains security policies
• Defines and maintains security processes
• Defines & maintains Operational Manuals for Security Services
• Aligns security processes with company processes
• Defines & maintains Operational Manuals for Security Services
• Alignment of policies with regulatory requirements
• Assessment of client security policies
• Alignment of client security policies and services delivered
• Process optimisation
• Definition of process controls
• Alignment with the company’s teams for processes and policies
• Client meetings related to policies, processes and standards
• Assist in training the company and client staff (where applicable) on policies, processes and standards (e.g. creating training material)

Qualifications and experience required:
• Matric - Essential
• Relevant tertiary education with business subjects (e.g. Relevant tertiary education with business subjects (e.g. computer related field) (desirable)
• Certification in ISO 2700X, ISF, COBIT (advantage)
• Developing security processes
• Maintaining and optimising of processes
• Control definition and measurement

Key competencies:
Knowledge
• Key security policy frameworks including ISO 2700X, ISF, COBIT
• Process development
• Key industry specific policies (retail, finance, utilities, logistics, manufacturing)
• Good knowledge of security principles, incl. ISC2 domains

Skills
• Advanced communication skills (report writing, email and presentation)
• Advanced Problem solving skills
• Advanced Customer orientation
• Functional coaching or facilitation skills (specific to train employees on policies/processes and standards)
• Advanced planning and organising skills
