We have a position for a senior wedding and event manager available. Minimum requirements: + 5 years experience in wedding, corporate, government and private event management required. + Strong admin skills. Responsible for effectively selling indoor and outdoor event space, food and beverage, and function planning services of the property to maximize revenues and profits for the property. • Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations. • Must have a proven track record in sales, weddings and events. • Responsibilities: • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. • Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations. • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs • Perform other duties as requested by management.
