Divisional Trainer: Electrical

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update training manuals and materials
  • Co-ordinate all “off-site” training interventions as determined by the Learning Matrix
  • Conduct theoretical, practical and nugget training sessions
  • Conduct assessments of candidates on all electrical equipment
  • Identify, analyse, plan and implement training needs
  • Training evaluation and administration
  • Operational and technical support with close working co-operation with Technical Electrical Engineers to keep abreast with technology
  • Close interface with trainees and regular consultation with stakeholders on progress and gaps identified

Job Requirements

  • Be a Qualified Electrician OR Electronics Mechanician
  • Have a tertiary qualification of at least N6 in Electrical Engineering, a National Diploma or B-Tech will be advantageous
  • Have extensive experience in:
    • Siemens PLC Programming experience
    • AC & DC Drives and Analogs experience
    • Process and service equipment
    • Line controls and line management systems
  • Have the ability to design learning and presentation material
  • Be pro-active and innovative
  • Previous Training/facilitation experience will be an advantage
  • Have good interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Be client service oriented
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint and have good administration skills
  • Have a logical approach to problem solving and analysing
  • Be dynamic, energetic and vibrant individual who is willing to learn, share knowledge and work closely with plant teams
  • Must have a drivers license, be willing to travelling frequently sometimes to various facilities locally and abroad
