The job role is to prepare food and to do planning and management of all kitchen operations. This entails the leadership, control and discipline of staff within the team. The role must also ensure that all HACCP regulations are enforced and understood by all staff. It is the Kitchen Manager’s responsibility to ensure consistency in food standards and portion control as per company policy. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for achieving and maintaining the G.P. The Kitchen Manager must be passionate about the training and development of the kitchen team so that they may grow in their roles and responsibilities. Key Tasks and Duties • Management of front and back of house. • Planning of menu and preparation of food. • Stock management - orders, control and daily stock takes. • Supervision of kitchen staff and activities. • Stock management - orders, control and daily stock takes. • Ensure hygiene of Fridges and Kitchen. • Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in correct working order. • Hygiene and control of store rooms. • Controlling the pass and calling out orders • Related kitchen administration. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Work is performed in an indoor, closed- space environment with temperatures ranging between 10 and 40 degrees Celsius / operations@theronsmeat.co.za
