Senior IT Technician

Description and Outputs Respond to and resolve tickets on the helpdesk within stipulated timeframes. Provide telephonic support to clients.. Provide first and possibly second line support remotely and on site. Maintain reports on all activities and time keeping to line manager. Servicing, repair, configuration of PCs, servers, and network equipment Assisting with research and implementation of solutions for new products and service offerings along with other system engineers. Rollouts of new installations, network upgrades, projects. Router settings and setup. Printer and print server settings. System network setup and diagnose. Updating and maintaining Group IT Policies Virus and Malware detection, prevention and automation. Update management on progress. Update internal systems with all work carried out. Desired Experience & Qualification 3 years field or support . A+ and N+ qualifications . Advanced Backup Software certifications are a great advantage . Experience in network troubleshooting Microsoft Server trouble shooting remotely and onsite. Linux Server trouble shooting remotely and onsite Understanding of Virtual Environments Strong organisational and time management skills, with a high level of initiative Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle Maintenance and support . Architecture and customisation Basic Protocols - TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP . An understanding of the LAN and WAN environment.
