Operations Controller / Buyer

Duties & Responsibilities Co-ordinate and monitor department staff, resources and prioritization. Employee relations including training and developing staff in terms of company quality stands and technical skills required to perform tasks Manage effective systems to control time, cost and quality. Department performance management with monthly reporting and setting targets Ensure compliance to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment. Implement and maintain ISO9001 Principles and procedures to ensure conformance to the company’s Quality Management System. Control and management of Company resources including: Tools and Equipment – issuing, returns, purchasing, repairs. Vehicles and fleet management (35 vehicles) including scheduled servicing repairs, cost control, reporting on expenses. Stores Stock – full control of Company held stock including purchasing, issuing and routine stock take Engineering material purchasing – negotiating with suppliers, cost control, ensuring quality of goods purchased.
