Financial Officer

Financial Officer My client from an FMCG concern is seeking a Financial Officer to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. Desired Experience & Qualification Requirements: Grade 12 with Bcom Degree and Articles 3 – 5 years post articles experience Successful candidates must come from an FMCG background. Package & Remuneration To be advised. Duties: Knowledge of accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting best practices (GAAP) Knowledge of employee benefit schemes including medical aid and retirement fund, among others Knowledge of SA legislation governing the financial industry, this including all relevant SARS regulations. Basic knowledge of IT system functionality Basic knowledge of payroll administration, including legislation that governs employee rights. To develop and implement effective financial management strategies, so as to ensure efficiencies in financial management. To compile accurate management accounts, variance reporting, cash flow forecasts as well as finalization of audited annual financial statements. To negotiate favourable terms of banking facilities with service providers. To ensure accurate measurement, evaluation and reporting of production costs as well regular stock management. To plan for, coordinate and ensure smooth execution of internal and external financial audits; with minimal findings.
