General Ledger Accountant

Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business 2-5 years of experience in Accounting SAP experience is a plus. Automotive experience is a plus. Duties and responsibilities Contribute to statutory and management accounting to N+1; compliance with IFRS and tax requirements. Full responsibility of asset function including Register, GL, depreciation and AUC Provide support with AIS claims (Asset section) Input of Group Financial information into consolidated tool (Metis). Investigate and analyse discrepancies between FCS and reporting tool Preparation of monthly B/S reconciliations Support AR function – specifically SBI, APDP and duties. Manage journal entry process including supporting documents and challenging them Mission assigned by the Manager Assist and train the Financial Accounting Graduate Liaise with Controlling team for the revising of accruals. Support year-end external audit process Support continuous improvement on accounting process in South Africa.
