Quality Controller

Under the direction of the Operation / Factory Manager and QA Manager the quality checkers are functionally responsible for providing technical expertise and maintaining surveillance over all Heartlands quality activities, including the planning and execution of assigned quality assurance projects and programs and food audits. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES Sampling inspection and grading of raw materials to meet established standards and Meet all the requirements of Production and are compliant with good manufacturing practices. Develop and maintain, with the aid of management, quality standards, product safety Standards: examples, HACCP, raw materials, packaging and finished product specifications, SSOP, labelling, micro program, other procedures etc. Identify production problems and opportunities for improvements, coordinates with production functions and other departments to develop solutions and take advantage of opportunities. Work with all phases of processing and suggest changes to ensure that the established quality standards are met. Ensure laboratory controls, documentation, and all lab related functions are kept current and the reporting of such is both accurate and timely. Ensure staff adherence to proper sanitation and safety practices. Perform all other work as assigned. Perform internal audits of facility to maintain and improve quality standards.
