We are a civil and construction company based in Mbombela, Mpumalanga looking for a candidate to perform duties of a contracts and projects manager for the projects we undertake. Minimum requirements are as follows • Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering • 10 years’ related experience • Ability to perform on site and office duties • Competence with MS Projects . • Knowledge of construction management software (CCS in particular) • Desire and willingness to adapt to various work disciplines, contract types and Owners. • Knowledge of occupational hazards. • Ability to read and understand project specific documents including blueprints, schedules, standard plans and specifications. • Ability to keep records and to prepare work and time reports. • Ability to supervise the work of others and clearly communicate instructions to crew. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Duties will include but not limited to: • Planning and monitoring of projects • Management of sub-contractors including monitoring and controlling their performance. • Setting and ensuring customer service requirements are met . • Resolving problems and identifying construction management system improvements. • Meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. • Approve construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases and budge.
