General Manager

Role and Responsibilities Interface between shareholders and the operating company and close liaison with shareholders Prepares weekly management reports on the basis of bookkeeper’s Pastel input; responsible for budget development and management, identification and design of value-driving initiatives . Prepares sales-linked volume plans and monitors raw materials sourcing. (some ingredients seasonal) Identifies opportunities for returns/margin improvement, incl. improved cashflow management, strategic supplier management, capital allocation, partnerships, and product innovation. Ultimately responsible for staff management in factory and resultant underlying indicators – stock, sales, QA, comms, project timelines; holds staff accountable. Proposes KPIs and incentives structures for all staff members and ensures consistent delivery of approved incentive scheme. Establishes professional reporting and organisational structures. Runs, e.g., weekly meetings. Maintains and acts on commercial/strategic risk register and mitigation actions. Monitors food safety and occupation safety at a high level, and works with food safety manager to drive ongoing compliance. Executes strategic projects such as moving factory to new facilities, developing new whollyowned farmstalls, and provides execution capacity on projects identified by the board Media representative and responsible for outgoing PR materials.
