Scrap Metal Buyer/Sales Person

A Sales Representative focuses on buying all types of scrap metal from wherever it may be generated or collected. A Sales Representative must learn to communicate and negotiate with scrap generators, with the aim of buying as much scrap metal as possible, at the best possible price. A Sales Representative is responsible for looking after any complaints or enquiries that his/her customers might have. A Sales Representative must endeavour to find new scrap-generating customers, wherever they may arise. A Sales Representative must at all times, conduct him/herself in such a manner that reflects the professional and ethical values of the Kenter Group. Qualifying Experience: A minimum Grade 12 certificate. At least 2 years’ experience; preferably in manufacturing, engineering or scrap/recycling industries. Valid driver’s license and own vehicle Computer literacy. Qualifying Attributes: Strong sense of integrity and trustworthy Ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and different levels within any organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills Time management. Ability to work independently and self-starter Negotiating skills. Self-motivated, takes initiative Team player.
