Training and Development Manager

Reference: JHB000309-BS-1 Our client, a leading retail organisation has an opportunity available for a Training and Development Manager to join their growing organisation. This opportunity will be based in Midrand and offer some really exciting challenges. Description Skills and experience required: Minimum 5 years’ experience in management level position. Experience in a retail, logistics or FMCG company will be advantageous Strong relationships with WR SETA is a non negotiable Job description: Build and maintain strong relationships with the SETA's Negotiate with SETA's Put forward proposals to SETA's Analyse current learning and development cycle and make changes to improve where necessary. Manage a team of 5 direct reports Manage the full learning and development function and teams activities. Assist the business with skills gaps analysis Develop customised training programmes Ensure that compliance to SETA’s, Skills Development Legislation, PSIRA regulations, BBBEE criteria as well as Industry associations and regulations. Source training content and development programmes. Draft training content Talent management and development Design and implement E-learning material Conduct training programmes Conduct competency assessments Communicate with line managers on training needs and programmes.
