Senior Business Development Consultant

My client is a leading distributor of imported premium AV products. They specialise in customised, integrated communication solutions as well as exclusive products for video conferencing and commercial and residential audio-visual applications.

They are currently seeking an experienced and senior new business development consultant to sell to the end user. This person will be dealing with individuals on an exec level, CTO’s, CIO’s, CEO’s ect to promote and sell the product offering. Must have technical knowledge and experience selling technical solutions.


  • Technical qualification, minimum NQF Level 5

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development associated with AV / IT technology solutions
  • Must have a proven and consistent track record of success
  • Must have personal connections and a well-established network of senior and executive contacts at end-user level
  • Must be proficient at solution selling
  • Must have experience in defining and understanding technical solutions
  • Must develop user requirements with end-users by understanding their business
  • Must have the ability to build relationships at multiple levels of end users
  • Must have the ability to liaise between customer and product principals with understanding and interpretation of the technical information under discussion

  • The ability to link and work with a range of specialist individuals and teams/functions
  • Confidence to manage client expectations
