Food Department Manager

Description Duties (will include but not limited to): Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Recruit, select, manage and develop people to meet competence requirements Participate in team to ensure achievement of department and store goals. Manage implementation and integration of new initiatives to achieve project goals Participate in general store operational duties Supervise and coach staff to meet competency requirements. Solid understanding of the technical food related aspects such as hygiene, safety, freshness and quality of food products. Minimum Requirements: Numeracy and Literacy Skills. Leadership experience (must be in a management role for a minimum of 2 years) Valid Matric Certificate. Merchant Skills. Clear credit and criminal record. Competencies: Customer service (Ability to persuade and sell to customers) Leadership and attitude to work . Versatile communication skills. Team leadership skills Action and results orientated Assertive and proactive. Problem solving and decision making skills Computer Literacy skills Commercial acumen and numeracy Attention to detail. Creative and innovative and keeps up to date on market trends.
