Leasing Specialist

Introduction Our client is a fast-growing retailer and they looking for a dynamic and efficient Leasing Specialist in the Durban area. Duties (will include but not limited to): The Main functions of the incumbent would be Legal work and finalising leases, including independently vetting, drafting and negotiating commercial leases and contracts directly with landlords and/or their legal departments General property administration. Core function: Preparing documents: either drafting new or vetting landlord's documents (offers, leases and addendums etc) Make recommendations/amendments to documents and negotiate the necessary changes directly with landlords or their legal departments based on predetermined terms. Online filling of all contracts and documents ensuring FICA requirements are met Timeous execution of renewal notices. Minimum Requirements: Preference will be given to incumbents who have minimum 3-5 years previous legal and/or property lease experience. An in-depth understanding of property and commercial law is essential. A tertiary degree or certificates within the field will be advantageous Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. An accurate and detail orientated work ethic which can work independently and under pressure would be preferred.
