As a seasoned, Senior Specialist, reporting to the Group HR Services Head, you will support the implementation of HR functional excellence by defining HR processes, policies, standards and governance that enables excellence in people management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree (Business / HR or equivalent).
  • 7 to 10 years relevant HR Generalist and/or policy development experience, demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level.
  • Minimum of 3 years HR Business Partner and/or Line Manager coaching experience.
  • Experience of working in a range of Africa markets and working with teams in Africa.
  • Sound business acumen.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide specialist support for HR processes, policies, standards and governance across the business.
  • Ensure regulatory and corporate governance adherence across the business.
  • Embed optimised HR functional excellence minimum standards.
  • Define the pension and benefits standards to ensure appropriate governance and compliance.
  • Partner with the business to ensure accurate HR data for effective decision making.
  • Support the development of HR functional excellence skills for both HR and Line Managers.
  • Partner with Senior Leaders and HR Business Partner's, providing support for HR functional excellence.
  • Support country HR to achieve the desired shift in functional excellence.
  • Provide guidance to Senior Leaders and HR on process, policy, standards and governance challenges and solutions.
  • Support the development and implementation of the HR functional excellence framework, policies, tools, governance and minimum standards.
  • Monitor and report on group-wide HR review scores, action plans and progress.
  • Support the development and implementation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to improve performance.
  • Manage mobility assignment process across Group Head Office and countries.
  • Support the validity, transparency, governance and conformance to group and in country HR policies.
  • Ensures alignment on key policy changes through communication, engagement and reporting.
  • Facilitate the execution of responsive and reliable transactional services for all spheres of HR services.
  • Perform regular internal/external benchmarking to identify and codify best practices.
  • Promote and adhere to the company's SHERQ procedure, policy and guidelines.

Competencies:

  • Excellent process design skills with delivery of high quality, detailed, accurate work.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office & relevant software packages.
  • A self-starter, with a strong focus on achieving results and being proactive.
  • Strong influencing & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise, and manage demands from multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage at Senior Management level.
  • Ability to assimilate a complex, competitive and rapidly changing environment into clear projects and prioritised focus areas.
  • Strong track record of managing and delivering complex projects and managing key stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel into all areas of operation.
