Instrumentation Supervisor

Responsible for the productivity of the team that performs these maintenance tasks. Plans, manages, directs and controls the Instrumentation maintenance activities to optimize plant availability. This is achieved by effectively managing human resources in department, applying technical knowledge, managing contractors, planning and executing small projects and design changes and assisting with troubleshooting of relevant problems on a daily basis. All work must be conducted within the safety and legal standards. The Works Coordinator is responsible for controlling departmental costs and formulating budget requirements. Maintenance cost control is done in conjunction with the other maintenance departments and production department. Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in a chemical or similar manufacturing environment. Matric/ Grade 12 Essential . National Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering . Trade test (Instrumentation) Basic understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act . Basic understanding of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality systems Interpretation of P&ID’s and instrumentation diagrams . HT & MV/LV electrical systems Understanding the basic mechanisms of refrigeration . Will be required to be on Standby from time-to-time Salary R550K to R650K basic salary per annum depending on experience. Email CV to joe@moshe.co.za
