Reference: JHB007086-LB-1 My client is seeking an Editorial Specialist with 3 years experience in an Editorial /Communications role to originate and co-ordinate inputs, write, edit and proofread the company newsletters, press releases and web content. Description Further requirements: 3-year National Diploma or a Bachelors degree in Communication or Journalism and Media Studies 3 years’ experience in an Editorial / Communications role Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) Organisational and planning skills Attention to detail Layout and graphics (desirable) Deadline driven. Job responsibilities: To co-ordinate inputs, edit and proofread the company Human Resources and IT newsletter and tender advertisements To co-ordinate inputs, edit and proofread all company official documents; namely: annual report, manuals, and booklets, brochures for printing, internal staff publications, the scientific community and documents for the public To project manage and co-ordinate logistics for the company annual report To generate content of interest for environmental sustainability strategic initiative. To liaise with conduits of information within the company for clarification of content To edit and proofread written documents for marketing purposes, parliamentary reports, grant motivations, advertisements and advertorials and news releases.
