Commercial Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to develop, implement and manage a sustainable procurement and sales strategy and plan for customer needs . Day-to-day management of customer programs Relationship and business building with growers/suppliers and client . Post season review with customers and clients Management of all export fruit stock and procurement. Analyze sales, marketing, finance and other reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth Assess risk involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations. Ensuring that the procurement is in line with marketing requirements of the company and optimize producer returns. Identify and negotiate with suppliers and growers to obtain fruit from them in order to meet the market and program demand plans Develop and maintain relationships with current and new producers and ensure focus on volume growth, increase market share and producer retention. Manage producer payments and ensure that payments meet the agreed commitment to producers. Build relationships with existing and new producers through the provision of commercial and marketing advise throughout the season. A Commercial or B.Sc. Agriculture qualification will be adv. 5 - 7 yrs commercial exp in marketing, growing relationships and procurement within the fruit export industry.
