Financial Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensures that the required financial reporting systems, accounting systems, and internal control procedures are in place to enable effective financial management of the business throughout all SA regions in which the business operates. Manages financial and cost accounting processes throughout all SA regions in which the business operates. Ensures General Ledger accounts are reconciled on at least a monthly basis and are kept current and accurate. Maintains an income statement per branch and per department and prepares monthly comparisons to budget for review (revenue and expenses). Ensures necessary statutory submissions are completed and made on time, including VAT and payroll related returns. Prepares necessary income taxation computations along with necessary supporting schedules for provisional and final income taxation submissions. Ensures asset registers are accurately maintained and measures capex spend against budget. Maintains financial well-being through daily and weekly cash flow forecasting, and reports status to the Head of Finance and reports as per Group deadlines. Produces flash results and management accounts on a monthly basis in accordance with predefined schedules and ensures that the required month-end reports are compiled and submitted to Group timeously. info@mecs.co.za
