Financial Controller

Duties & Responsibilities Our client in Melrose is looking for a Financial Controller / Senior Accountant to join their company Requirements: BCom Accounting/Accounting Sciences degree Completed articles (a minimum of 3-year SAICA articles) Minimum of 8 - 10 years financial accounting experience . SAP Business One experience would be beneficial Work experience in the property development/management industry Strong Excel skills . Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans) Duties: (Full function) Performing of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Performing of creditors reconciliations. Processing of development/project/ad-hoc operating expense invoices. Loading of payments into online banking platform. Calculation of month distributions on all co-ownerships/JVs. Preparation general journals. Reconciliation of payment cards. Managing of petty cash. Monthly VAT submissions. Calculation of provisional tax. Preparation of annual budgets. Debtors management which include review and follow up with tenants on all overdue amounts in conjunction with other finance staff members. Relieve for other finance staff members as and when needed Monthly review of separately disclosable-/tax items of items such as consulting fees, legal fees, repairs and maintenance etc.
