Technical Manager - Food

Duties & Responsibilities Processing and Operational Support. Work closely with the Operations team to ensure product is made to the highest quality standards Manage process and product improvement projects Hands on support and involvement in the day to day operations at the Globepak factory. Provide continuous feedback to the Engineering team in order to identify areas for improvement within the processing lines Develop new and modified products Support and run projects within the NPD agenda for the site. Brief suppliers on new analytical instruments, product, packaging and raw material requirements. Develop, and validate product and process assessment methods. Ensure bills of materials and process specifications are kept up to date Develop new SOP’s and update existing product and process SOP’s. Develop new SOP’s and update existing NPD process SOP’s Review product specifications and propose amendments. Lead GMP and HACCP initiatives Management of Technical Department To manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets. Plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with agreed timescales QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge & Experience A completed Food Sciences degree essential Post graduate qualification (Honours / Masters) will be highly advantageous.
