A telecommunications service provider is looking for a Business Development Consultant / Business Solutions Specialist to join their team. Responsible for growing existing business and expanding market share through acquiring new customer accounts and managing existing client accounts. Maintaining a long-term business relationship with key client accounts and maximizing sales / revenue.

A telecommunications service provider is looking for a Business Development Consultant / Business Solutions Specialist to join their team. Responsible for growing existing business and expanding market share through acquiring new customer accounts and managing existing client accounts. Maintaining a long-term business relationship with key client accounts and maximizing sales / revenue.

Salary:

R15 000.00 - R21 000.00 + commission 

Duties:

  • Strategically identify lucrative business opportunities from targeted prospects and evaluating their business position within the industry and their related long-term business potential through continuous market research, competitor analysis and consultative product sales.
  • Successfully optimize revenue by product sales through establishing sustainable business relationships and solution sales with key business prospects.
  • Strategically manage long-term business relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending ongoing profit and service improvements and innovation.
  • Professionally identify and recommend product improvements or new product innovations by remaining current on industry trends, market developments, and competitor analyses.
  • Prepare and present internal and customer business reports for required intervals by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Maintain service excellence by establishing and promoting organization best practice and standards.
  • Continuously develop both professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; training sessions, reviewing of professional publications;
  • Establishing and optimizing professional business networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies.
  • Constructively contribute to sales team deliverables by knowledge-sharing, professional business support and the reaching and exceeding of sales targets

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Superior computer skills with a high IT technical proficiency.
  • Fully proficient in the complete Microsoft Office Suite or other CRM programs advantageous
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills a very high priority
  • Pays strict attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Persuasive and confident to negotiate, with a very well-developed business-entrepreneurial focus
  • Informed and knowledgeable on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and business potential clearly and professionally
  • Well-presented, eloquent and business-focused
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and customer service business skills with very well-developed consultative selling attributes
  • Able to multi-task whilst efficiently managing priorities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in business or related field; or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ related experience in
  • Successful new business sales, client management, or relevant role in related industry and technologies
