Our client based in Benoni is looking for an Area Representative to procure business from new and existing customers, manage agents and ensure sound relationships with the entire customer base
Education and Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- 1 to 2 years related experience is essential.
- However desirable to have a 2-year college certificate/diploma from college with 2 to 4 years related experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Building sound customer relationships (ongoing).
- Technical advice and training – including presentations.
- Adjudication of warranties.
- Follow-up on deliveries.
- Price negotiation.
- Soliciting new customers.
- Handling of customer complaints and queries.
- Management of agents/distributors.
- Management of budgets – sales and expenses.
