Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge - 3+ Years Experience in a Business Development and/or combined Marketing/Sales Position - Relevant Degree/Diploma in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Studies will be advantageous. - Strong knowledge/experience of various industries relevant to company (Managed services/field services/maintenance, etc. in, but not limited to, IT/POS/Electronic/Logistics industries) - Knowledge of South African and African Markets. - Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license - Must reside in either Cape Town or Johannesburg. Skills & Abilities - Excellent MS Office knowledge (Excel Spreadsheets, Outlook, Power Point) - Strong sales ability. - Well organized and strong planning skills - Excellent oral communication, presentation and negotiation skills (cross culturally) - Able to analyze and problem solve. - Basic technical knowledge related to industry - Commercial business acumen - Administratively competent. - Willing and able to travel nationally Job/Role Description. - Responsible to build and develop new clients and business opportunities - Able to produce high quality proposals (with pricing) and present them to new and/or existing clients. Develop sales and marketing proposals. - Meet and exceed monthly sales targets through generation of new business. - Be able to use all required/available activities to generate new business opportunities (cold calls, networking, referrals, lead allocation, etc.) - Maintain sound knowledge of the company’s services, policies and procedures in order to identify new business opportunities. - Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relations with Company personnel and management. - Assumes responsibility for new product identification, pricing strategies and pre-sales interactions. - Maintaining current understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets. - Assumes responsibility for efficient and effective promotion and sales of assigned products/services, etc. - Establishes and maintains industry contacts that provide potential sales leads. - Closes sales negotiations and draws up supplier contracts. - Assumes responsibility for maintaining product relations with vendors, clients, customers, retailers and internal company contacts. - Must be willing to spend time in various departments to learn Company processes and culture, etc. Remuneration - Basic salary and commission structure based on performance, closing of “deals” and meeting of targets. - Full details to be discussed with short listed candidates.
