Candidates must have at least 2 to 5 years experience in a production environment, 2 years at Supervisory level. A Matric plus HR Management experience or courses as well as the ability to operate roll forming machines, flashing line and cranking machines is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the operations existing margin percentages by keeping wastage down
  • Maximize profitability
  • Provide accurate reports on waste / off cut management
  • Ensure that subordinates are productive
  • Put systems in place and manage systems going forward
  • Ensure thatstaffing requirements are met
  • Alleviate backlogs / bottlenecks
  • Supervising and motivating the team of workers
  • Ensure that legal obligations are met - Health and Safety
  • Ensure all mobile mill and factory milling jobs are to customers satisfaction
  • Ensure stock gets scanned, loaded and delivered accurately.
  • Receiving goods accurately.
  • Routes are established and maintained effectively.
  • Assist sales staff with their duties when needed
  • Promote the company products at all times
  • Marketing-Liaising withthe WIP Supervisor to prioritize orders to offer service excellence to the customer base
  • Ensure timeous processing of manufacturing document into the factory
  • Monthly Material wastage / stock
  • General Administration and Filing
  • Ensure all Job cards and delivery notes are returned to the salesperson.
  • Working out the human & material resources needed
  • Ensure all machinery and tools are safe, functional, serviced and in working order
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints speedily
  • Manage /site project ensuring material being profiled correctly
  • Obtain 3 quotes on consumables pricing to negotiate best price and quality
  • Guidance of General Workers with their duties when needed
  • Time management of Staff - working hours and overtime
  • Assist with additional tasks as requested by management from time to time
  • Uphold the company’s code of ethics
  • High professional ethical standards
  • Manage all warehouse operations
  • Ensure that the warehouse start on time as per company policy
  • Participate in Stock take Quarterly
  • Knowledge of all material in warehouse
  • Control of Coil movement in and out of warehouse
  • Overseeing the loading of trucks and ensure that trucks leave timeously
  • Overseeing the route planning of trucks
  • Manage waste / off cut management in warehouse
  • Manage overtime and production
  • General maintenance and housekeeping of warehouse
  • Being pro-active for the selection and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain health and safety file
  • Do regular health and safety inspections within factory and operations to ensure that health regulations are adhered to and met
  • Ensure all staff have relevant suitable safety wear
  • All ad-hoc duties
  • Printing of delivery notes
  • Maintain daily odometer and fuel spreadsheet
