Buyer: Purchasing / Logistics

Overall Mission of Position: 

  • Manage and monitor the plant purchasing activities in line with Group purchasing policy, to improve QCD performance particularly in terms of Product/VAVE productivity,PPM and MPM and to handle/organise local purchasing needs
  • To develop plant supplier chain solution

Position Specific Requirements:

  • Identify qualified local suppliers with the support from Quality and technical team
  • Identify opportunities for price-process cost reductions, validate them with team and implement them
  • Be involved in programs (new projects) as from the very first RFQ answer to the end of the industrialization stage to ensure smooth Start of Production
  • Be responsible for logistics management
  • Help on other ad-hoc assignments
  • Customer Relations
  • Dealing with machine, tooling and raw material

Job Specific Skills, Knowledge and Behavioral Characteristics:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or business administration
  • 5+ years working experience in auto industry
  • Experience in Purchasing in an industrial environment
  • Previous experience in interior trim part is a clear plus for understanding the business fast
  • Initiative, Reliability, Good teamwork spirit, Stress tolerance
