Prospecting Research Manager

Tracks conference rotation patterns and identify potential opportunities Tracks bids submitted with other cities that have been lost as part of the competitor analysis and identification of potential future opportunities Maintains contact with counterparts to maximise synergies and coordination of prospecting research Commissions and coordinates the conducting of specific research and studies into: Competitor activity; Conference tracking; Conference organiser activity; Delegate tracking and perception studies; and Customer satisfaction surveys Assists the CCBO with sales calls to meeting planners and decision makers. Assists the CCBO at business events trade shows and workshops Assists with the process of identifying and qualifying possible business event bid opportunities Desired Experience & Qualification Job Skills: A degree in Tourism or a BA majoring in a social science, with preference given to a post-graduate qualification in Tourism or a social science and social research At least 5 years in data mining or web based research with evidence of having researched and analysed social science databases, evaluated research information and drawn valid conclusions.
