Operations Administrator

Our client a company providing end-to-end logistics solutions, reducing costs by maximising technology is seeking to employ an Operations Administrator on a fixed term contract.

Capturing orders received from clients into our ERP (e.g. Pastel)

Checking of pricing and that order QTY’s are correct

Delivery Planning and making bookings for delivery.

Following up with warehouse for picking slips

Performing admin tasks such as generating credit notes, Delivery Notes and Invoices.

Following up with suppliers to check if stock is ready for collection.

Following up with client DC’s on day of delivery to check deliveries have been made.

Contacting clients DC’s to request GRV’s etc.

Allocating transport costs to deliveries made to client DC’s.

Compiling paperwork for filing – linking documentation such as invoices and sales orders.

Processing Purchase orders and forwarding to factories if need be.

FMCG experience is ideal

Attention to detail and ability to multi task

ERP knowledge and experience on a platform such as Pastel is ideal

Good communication skills interacting and arranging transport and booking with clients, suppliers, and transporters.

Team player who is willing to learn & help other team members.

Quick learner and not afraid to pick hand up if explanation is needed as well as to help other departments if spare capacity allows.

Willing to learn other roles so as to fill in when others are absent.

Customer focused attitude and ability to multi task and prioritise their work load.

Be able to handle different personalities whether at supplier, customer and warehouse or office level.
