Account Manager

Pinetown – Standout opportunity exists for a dynamic, customer focused self-starter with a passion for personal care and beauty products to join a well-established business operating in the FMCG and personal care industry. This exciting opportunity will provide exposure to all aspects of the FMCG business including sales (key account management), marketing and brand development, product development, research & development, packaging, manufacturing and logistics. Be involved in all aspects of the business by taking responsibility for the following: Own, develop and drive the relationship and commercial sales agenda with customers New product development from concept to product launch – research and development, formulation, branding and packaging, sales forecasting and planning, delivery and launch, retail promotions, etc. Managing major retail accounts and contract packing accounts. Management of sales, promotional plans and budgets. Negotiate trading terms, rebates and incentives New business development - seek out and pursue line extensions, new channels and new business Costing, negotiation and quoting Analyse and report on sales performance Project management. Manage account profitability - continuously monitor account / product margin Requirements: Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills. Analytical and numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities.
