IT Risk Officer

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED. Experienced at middle management level and comfortable engaging executive level stakeholders. Proactive and consistently shows initiative. Package & Remuneration R Market related. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem analysis skills and solution ability. Ability to understand complex issues quickly and set priorities according to technical as well as strategic / business considerations. Broad generalist level knowledge of information security technology and IT such as Operating systems, databases, network infrastructure, firewalls and application development. The ability to translate business needs into IT delivery mechanisms would be advantageous. Up to date with current IT trends. Knowledge of the business/related industry would be an advantage. The ability to work in a pressurized operational department. Must be able to evaluate & direct. Travelling is required. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS BComm or BSc degree. Appropriate post-graduate Degree @ NQF Level 8 or equivalent would be advantageous. Minimum 5 years of experience in banking, telecommunications or insurance industries of which at least 3 -5 years in an audit, risk or compliance function. Demonstrate experience and knowledge of IT governance framework implementation.
