Human Resource Administrator


Purpose is to attract, development, retain and optimal utilization of human resources and training of the Holdings Group to ensure the meeting of individual and organizational objectives.



  • Provide staff with the necessary medical aid and retirement annuity forms
  • To notify all employees with regards to any medical aid amendments
  • To ensure that the retirement annuity spreadsheet sent to the broker is accurate and process medical aid applications (as required)
  • Coordinate IOD process


  • Fulfil the role of the EE administrator, sitting in on EE committee meetings and taking minutes
  • Assist in the administration of EE specific projects and interventions
  • Assist with the compilation of EE statistics and annual EE reporting to the Department of Labour
  • Ensure all EE related documentation and records are administered and filed accordingly


  • Responsible for the recruitment and selection process including drafting advertisement (internally & externally), telephonic interview, shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews, reference checks and regrets
  • Provide feedback to managers on recruitment and selection process
  • Report on difficult recruitment issues to the HRM
  • Ensure that induction is timeously completed
  • Prepare documentation/stationery when inductions are held
  • Administering the probation review time period
  • Ensure that HRM is kept up to date with all recruitment, selection and placement information
  • Compile a spreadsheet on recruitment for all CV’s received and send to HRM every month


  • Continuous revision and development on HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource adherence to relevant labour legislation
  • Fully understand the HR policies and procedures and to provide an expert advice to managers and employees


  • Provide assistance and initiatives to boost staff morale, diversity and culture
  • To provide an excellent internal and external customer centred service and ensure high levels of satisfaction through a consultancy based approach
  • Develop effective, collaborative relationships and networking with internal clients and external stakeholders
  • Organise and Coordinate Wellness Day and other related presentations
  • Proactively discuss interventions, systems and procedures with the HRM
  • Proactively identify and with the assistance of the HRM resolve obstacles to customer service delivery in a timeous manner, providing contingency plans when required


  • Distribute disciplinary letters
  • Ensure that all managers and employees are aware of policies and procedures in the workplace
  • Ensure that disciplinary action taken is consistent, fair, procedural and substantively correct
  • Keep disciplinary records filed and updated on applicable spreadsheet


  • Maintaining accurate records by ensuring that all documentation is filed away timeously
  • Office is tidy at all times
  • Accurate records of employees are kept
  • Distribute UI19 forms, IRP 5 certificates etc.
  • Ensure files are labelled and archiving files are filed accordingly
  • Arrange HR weekly meetings and distribute minutes taken
  • Act in a confidential capacity


  • Assist with BBBEE verification audit file on all relevant elements of the scorecard
  • Must have a basic understanding of the current BBBEE legislation
  • Ensure that selection of candidates assist the organisation in terms of employment equity
  • Ensure that the employment equity spreadsheet is updated every month with all the information required


  • Computer Literate in Pastel Payroll, MS Word, Office, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Relevant Human Resource qualification, BTech or Diploma in Human Resources.
  • 1 – 3 Years’ experience
  • Driver’s License
