Operational Manager

OPERATIONAL MANAGER. Meat production facility. REQUIREMENTS: Matric. Min 10 yrs management experience PC literate (especially Excel) Knowledge of meat & retail trade. Excellent written & verbal comms skills Strong problem solving skills. Sober habits Versatile skills. Handle large workforce 100+ Initiative, handle conflict, cope under pressure. SUMMARY OF DUTIES (not limited to): Manage central meat production facility & all outlets Manage staff, time, productivity, running costs, production volumes Maintain & implement necessary disciplinary measures. Maintain high level of consistent quality on all products. Identify stock shortages, expiration dates, problem areas & correction thereof Manage dry areas, chillers, freezer rooms, etc. Understanding, enforcing GMP, GHP & Cold chain Compliance with health & meat processing requirements, policies & protocols. Overseeing hygiene & quality aspects of the business. Ability to work & maintain all relevant equipment at factory & outlet level. Observe & evaluate all employees, overseeing/performing necessary training Stock orders, intake, analysis & evaluations Minimizing returns, reworks, waste at factory & outlet level. Ensuring & implementing FIFO Customer relations. Introducing new production lines as approved Implement sales & marketing strategies. Maintain awareness of trends in industry Open/close factory/outlets as required. Basic sal + prov/f package. BZA-OPM
