Production Manager

PRODUCTION MANAGER. Meat production facility. REQUIREMENTS: Matric. Minimum 10 years management experience. PC literate (especially Excel) Knowledge of meat & retail trade. Excellent written & verbal comms skills. Strong set of problem solving skills. Sober habits Versatile skills. Handle large workforce 100+ Initiative, handle conflict, cope under pressure. SUMMARY OF DUTIES (not limited to): Manage central meat production facility Manage staff, time, productivity, running costs Maintain & implement necessary disciplinary measures. Maintain high level of consistent quality on all products. Identifying stock shortages, expiration dates, low stock, possible problem areas & correction thereof Manage dry areas, chillers, freezer rooms, etc. Understanding, enforcing GMP, GHP & Cold chain Compliance with health & meat processing requirements, policies & protocols Ensuring overall cleanliness & hygiene of production facility Ability to work & maintain all relevant equipment at factory and outlet level. Overseeing/performing necessary training Stock orders, intake, analysis & evaluations Minimizing returns, reworks & waste at factory & outlet level Ensuring & implementing FIFO Customer relations. Introducing & commissioning new production lines as approved. Overseeing hygiene & quality aspects of the business. Open/close factory/outlets as required Report to Directors. Basic salary + provident fund package. BZA-PM
