JOB OVERVIEW: The Receptionist, will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, mail distribution and providing additional clerical support. He/She is the first point of contact for the entire organisation, which requires a positive attitude and polished, professional appearance. This position will straddle a variety of front office activities. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Matric or NQF equivalent • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. switchboards, printers/scanners) THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: • Solid written and verbal communication skills • Experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management. • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. • Demonstrated excellent organisational, coordinating and personal interface skills • Demonstrated ability to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
