OPERATIONS MANAGER

Hotel Operations Manager A Small 4 star Hotel in central Cape Town is looking for an Operations manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel as well as foster excellent guest relations, perform supply chain management and quality assurance, and supervise and direct staff. As part of the Management team, the Operations Manager will be expected to oversee Staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and execute higher level administrative functions. A working knowledge of Semper would be preferred, but any booking, reservations and POS system is accepted. The duty manager should also actively encourage training and as such take responsibility for skills development under junior staff. All stock, stock orders, maintenance issues and service issues is the responsibility of the Ops manager, and should be executed without fail. Excellent Computer skills, especially in the Microsoft package, is expected. The candidate will have very good communication, language and writing skills in especially English, have good Word and Excel skills, have Previous experience in a guest house or hotel, Preferred: Accredited course/training in hotel management or hospitality. This position requires Shift work at times. Accepted Candidate must have reliable transport.
