Groups and Events Coordinator

Main Duties & Responsibilities To ensure that standard correspondence formats for various stages of reservations is completed and maintained. Ensure all relevant groups / event information is communicated in a timely fashion. Quote and contract all potential business through all available booking channels. To optimise sales and profitability through an effective and efficient reservations process whilst enhancing relationships with existing clients Manage site inspections in conjunction with sales manager. To continuously seek ways to maximise revenues and profits by up-selling facilities and services Establish rapport with guests maintaining effective customer relationships and handle guest enquiries, requests either personally or over the phone Spend time in each function / event to ensure that the guests and organisers are well looked after and to support banqueting where needed Liaise with suppliers (off-site) when and where needed. Preparing and ensuring all bookings are accurate and in line with SOP’s Ensure accurate timeous invoicing and payment received. Required Qualifications & Experience Diploma / Degree from a reputable hotel school - Preferred. 3-5 Years Groups/Events/Conferencing Experience - Preferred. Previous junior sales and reservations experience - Advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work without supervision Team & Goal Orientated.
