Managing Director

(Grabouw/Elgin) Fruitpackaging. Reporting to the Group CEO, you will be responsible for the sustainability and bottom line performance of the fruit packaging and processing division, comprising three production and storage plants, collectively handling 100,000 tons of apples and pears. Responsibility to your key stakeholders:  To your shareholders, ensure a sustainable long term return on investment by optimising the drivers of income and expenditure as well as the reinvestment in infrastructure.  To your board of directors, actively manage the key business indicators, risk factors and explore new business opportunities  To your customers, a reliable supply of consistently good quality products, backed up with excellence in service delivery  To your growers, the optimisation of their crop’s income potential and a cost effective and efficient value adding service  To your +- 1000 employees, creating a work environment where they are empowered to perform and develop their full potential  To your fellow group executives, constructively participate in the development of business strategy and business plans that will create value. Requirements:  Appropriate tertiary qualification, preferably in engineering or business management  10+ years management experience in manufacturing environment.  Excellent leadership and people management skills.
