Assistant Restaurant Manager

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• PC literate including: MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel & Micros (advantageous)
• Previous relevant upmarket restaurant / luxury/5* hotel outlet experience
• Experience managing a staff compliment of approx. 10 - 20 staff
• Experience in IR or Disciplinary practices ( HR )
• Ability to draw up SOP’s
• Ability to mentor staff
• Exceptional wine knowledge and in tune with industry trends
• Ability to lead others and to do on the job F&B training
• Solid Financial acumen with skill in stock control
• Own transport or live on the transport route
• Ability to work shifts and weekends & public holidays ( hospitality hours)

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / Degree from a reputable hotel school.
  • SAGE is a must
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in F&B or Restaurants within a luxury hotel environment.
