Handyman - Greenpoint (MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER LICENCE)

Education:

· Grade 12 or equivalent

 

Work experience:

· Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5 star hotel

· Familiar with all duties and procedures in the Maintenance Department

· Third language is advantageous

· MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER LICENCE

Other:

· Reliable, responsible and dependable to fulfil obligations

· Attention to detail

· Willingness to lead, take charge and offer direction

· Ability to multitask

· Show initiative by taking control of task

· Excellent communication skills

· Friendly and service orientated

 

Tasks (include but not limited to):

· Ensure facilities are in optimal condition

· Maintain high standards of working area, hotel premises and equipment

· Make optimal use of materials without wastage

· Operate power tools and equipment

· Care of the lawns, pool and flowerbeds

· Provide assistance to guest complaints

· Repair hotel furnishings and appliances
