Operations Supervisor

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

 

General:

  • Handle recruitment- to follow the company Human Resources process
  • Responsible for Overtime calculations and submit them timeously
  • Responsible for all leave arrangements –to follow company Human Resources process
  • Maintain shift schedule-make sure there is enough skilled operators on duty, stand-in operators are to be informed in advance
  • Custodian of operational standards and procedures whereby update and implement of operations al standards and procedures that the quality of service helps to improve customer service
  • Source external training and follow the company training process
  • See to on the job training and provide written instructions and materials to shift members.
  • Maintain and create material for policies and procedures
  • Update training policies when required
  • Be responsible for monitoring and reporting of progress when assigned to shifts
  • Record outstanding batches from operators and issues that they experience on their shift
  • Manage the teams on a daily basis
  • Manage and resolve operational issues
  • Investigate operational queries
  • Perform analysis and report on production related issues
  • Collate information regarding redundant assets and arrange for disposal
  • Monitor and report to management any production related incidents
  • Manage the external parties to ensure the environment is maintained (maintenance) and updated as required (Air conditioners, fire detection & suppression, UPS & Generators)

 

COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Relevant course in relation to Operations

 

Specific Skills (Technical):

  • Basic SQL
  • Linux
  • Windows
  • ISO 8583
  • Document formulation
  • Staff Management

 

The successful applicant must:

  • Have 3 years operations and other related experience
  • Have staff management experience
  • Have Implementation management experience
  • Development background(advantageous)
  • System Process background (advantageous)
  • ITIL (advantageous)
  • Have strong attention to detail/accuracy attributes
  • Be self-driven and have high energy levels
  • Be organized and assertive
