Senior Stores/Stock Officer

We are on the lookout for a Senior Stores Officer
Key activities will include but not be limited to:
Assist the Stores Manager to;

Manage the stores and stock room
Co ordinate activities related to ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in stockroom
Plan layout of stockroom and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock, and related problems.
Recommend remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
Determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock-control records

Coordinate activities of workers engaged in handling of merchandise in stockroom

We are looking for a candidate with:

Relevant Qualification/Certificate
6 to 8 plus years warehousing stores experience
Dynamic and proactive
Above average communication skills
Attention to detail
Problem solver
PInnovative and adaptable- be able to think out of the box
Able to identify possible challenges or problems and find effective solutions
Good time management and prioritisation skills
Able to manage own function with very little supervision
Self-starter and self-motivated
