Product Owner

DUTIES: Have a good understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives. Together with the Business Architect and relevant business areas, understand product strategy, new opportunities, areas for improvement and client needs. Collate change requests, project work, strategic initiatives and maintenance items in a central backlog that is prioritised together with key stakeholders. Manage the product backlog, including: Clearly expressing product backlog items. Ordering the items in the product backlog to best achieve goals and missions. Optimising the value of the work that the Development team performs. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications – Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Certified Product Owner advantageous. Experience/Skills - Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and organise self and team tasks in order to achieve objectives and targets. Decisive and must be able to use initiative to make quick decisions to resolve problems and overcome obstacles delaying delivery. Partnering with other departments to achieve targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to non-technical and technical audience members. Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent leadership skills.
