Export Sales Engineer

Furthermore the position is required to:  Visit existing and new customers and solicit enquiries  Review customers specifications and commercial conditions.  Liaise with other departments within the company as required e.g. engineering, drawing office, procurement, works, spares etc.  Prepare cost and time estimates, including issuing and adjudicating purchase enquiries for bought-out items.  Prepare proposals including commercial and technical documents in line with company procedures.  Follow-up tenders and securing of orders  Plan business trips and travel internationally, predominantly in Africa, to meet with customers  Prepare and issue confirmation orders and hand-over to the Projects Department. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a technical diploma; or A proven track record of technical equipment sales in a boiler related environment. EXPERIENCE Must have a minimum of three years (3) in an engineering and design environment and/or a minimum of five years (5) of sales experience in a boiler or boiler related industry with focus on the following:  Be able to interact with customers at all levels  Ability to define project requirements based on customer interaction.  Be detail orientated  Strong negotiation skills.  Have impeccable communication skills, both oral and written in English.  Have the ability to work well within a team environment as well as without supervision.
