WORKING HOURS: You’ll have to work split shifts and at least 40 hours a week, including some weekends. As with any kitchen job, you may find yourself working longer hours to meet the needs of the business. REQUIREMENTS: • 5 year kitchen and management experience in a hostel environment or large scale catering. • Skilled with computer use especially with Excel. • Health and safety or food hygiene qualifications are crucial • Fluent in Afrikaans and English. • Skilled in planning of menus. • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes. • Knowledge of complying with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
